Enterpise IT Financial Transparency Initiative
In a large, complex retail organization, I was engaged to assess an IT financial management platform that was underutilized and at risk of being retired. Through targeted interviews with finance, engineering, and executive stakeholders, I identified that the core issue was not tooling, but lack of data trust and alignment between prioritization and spend. By improving integrations with existing enterprise systems, and as a result increasing data accuracy and visibility, the organization was able to better connect strategic initiatives to actual technology investment, reducing waste, avoiding premature platform replacement, and enabling leadership to fund top priorities with greater confidence.
ERP Readiness and Risk Reduction Workshops
Ahead of a major ERP modernization in a manufacturing environment, I partnered with senior IT leadership to reduce execution risk before committing to a multi-year, high-cost investment in a ERP solution migration. I facilitated cross-functional workshops with stakeholders from engineering through the C-suite to surface architectural, organizational, and process risks that could derail a future migration. The resulting analysis gave leadership a clear, prioritized 10,000 foot view of potential failure points, enabling more accurate planning and materially lower risk exposure before advancing an organization wide transformation effort.
Website Usability and Accessibility Improvements
I partnered with a mission-driven nonprofit organization to modernize an aging website in the absence of dedicated internal IT support. What began as a general usability request expanded into a focused effort to improve accessibility, reduce friction for key user journeys, and lower long-term operational risk. By defining critical personas and simplifying navigation, we reduced the effort required for families to engage with the organization, while ensuring compliance with accessibility standards. In parallel, we migrated the site off a legacy hosting platform to a more maintainable solution, improving reliability and reducing future support burden. The work was delivered pro bono through a non-profit partnership, enabling the organization to achieve meaningful improvements without additional financial strain.
